Meet the Board

Dr. Gemma Annwen Rolle
President

American Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Gemma Annwen Rolle is a Consultant at the Princess Margaret Hospital and Doctors Hospital and an Associate Lecturer at University of West Indies. In 1996 she graduated from St. Andrews High School and attended Clark University in Worcester, MA graduating Cum Laude in 2000. Upon completion, she was accepted to Howard University College of Medicine where she excelled and graduated in 2005. She subsequently successfully completed a Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Gastroenterology in SUNY Downstate Medical Center becoming certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2008 and Gastroenterology in 2011.

Dr. Rolle has expertise in a wide range of digestive diseases, endoscopic procedures and colorectal cancer screening with special interest in liver diseases, complications of cirrhosis, and chronic viral hepatitis. Additionally, she is a member of several professional societies including the Medical Association of The Bahamas, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Rolle has served as a member of the Bahamas Medical Council in 2017-2018 and former member of the Nursing Council of The Bahamas from 2013 to 2017.

Proud mother of three children, Ethan, Danae, and Dahlia, Dr. Rolle is the daughter of proud parent Anthony ‘Boozie’ and the late great Elva Patricia-Ann Rolle.

Dr. Hall-Dennis
Vice President

Dr. Hall-Dennis graduated from St. Andrews Highschool – Nassau, Bahamas and then completed her Bachelors in Psychology at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA. She then went on to earn her BS and MBBS thru the University of the West Indies (St. Augustine), serving as Class Representative, Treasurer of the Medical Sciences Student Council, Member of the Student Guild International Students Committee and President of the Bahamian Student’s Association during her time there. On her return to Nassau, she served her community as a Director and then Vice President of the Bahamas Family Planning Association Board and she joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Princess Margaret Hospital after internship to pursue her love of OBGYN, where she currently serves as a Senior Registrar having completed her training and earned her doctorate of medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is one of the founding members of the UWI Women’s Health Initiative Student Group (Bahamas Campus), is currently Vice President of the Medical Association of the Bahamas.

Dr. T. Nairn-Knowles
Treasurer

Dr. T. Nairn-Knowles is a proud graduate of St. Augstines College – Nassau Bahamas where she obtained her secondary school education.  She furthered he education and training by earning her medical degree from the Universidad de Ciencias Medicas “Celia Sanchez Manduley”, Manzanillo Granma – Cuba, EMT training at Pelham Training Institute in Indiana where she also obtained National Registry certification and EVOC licensure.  She subsequently became a pivotal member of the DHHS flight emergency team.  In 2013 she moved back into hospital medicine doing first an internship and then becoming a Senior House Officer in the Department of Anesthesia at the Princess Margaret Hospital – Nassau, Bahamas.  During this time she gained extensive knowledge working both in theatre and the intensive care units which has served her well in her new role as an Resident Medical Officer, Urgent Care Physician and part of the Rapid Response Team at Doctors Hospital – Nassau, Bahamas.  Additionally Dr. Nairn-Knowles is certified in hyperbaric medicine (Key Largo, Florida USA) and has served the medical community as a Trustee for the Bahamas Doctor’s Union from 2018-2020 and Secretary General from 2020- 2022 and currently as the Secretary of the Medical Association of the Bahamas.

Dr. Nevillina Munnings-Thompson
Secretary

Dr. Nevillina Munnings-Thompson was born and raised in New Providence, Bahamas. She was always caring and impassioned about helping people as a child, and to fulfill her childhood vision of becoming a physician, she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at the University of Huntsville in Alabama and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Degree at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago.  Dr. Thompson found an interest in Internal Medicine during her medical rotation as an intern, which inspired her to pursue post-graduate training in Internal Medicine at the University of the West Indies, School of Clinical Medicine and Research, Bahamas campus. Since working in both the public and private sectors, Dr. Thompson has witnessed firsthand how the obesity epidemic affects every facet of our society and results in the onset of many non-communicable diseases. In an effort to combat the obesity crises at the helm, Dr. Thompson received her certification in Obesity management and she remains committed to helping clients achieve a healthier lifestyle and quality of life.  She currently serves as a Secretary on the board of the Medical Association of the Bahamas.

Dr. Reginald Neymour
Trustee

Dr. Reginald Neymour is a board-certified Anesthesiologist with over twenty (20) years of successful healthcare performance.Dr. Neymour earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College located in Nashville Tennessee. He completed his Anesthesia Residency and Critical Care Fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.

Upon returning home, Dr. Neymour began his professional career at the Princess Margaret Hospital in 1998. During his tenure, he held several positions, which included Director of Anesthesia and Director of Intensive Care, where he oversaw the expansion of several services.

Dr. Neymour is currently the Managing Director of Anesthesia Associates Medical Group (AAMG) whose mission is to provide effective, high-quality and patient-centered care. The group of over ten (10) anesthesia doctors has the same passion for service as Dr. Neymour.

Dr. Neymour is married to Carole and the couple have two children, Alexis and Nathan.  He currently serves as a director on the Medical Association Board.

Dr. Arlington Lightbourne
Trustee

Dr. Arlington Lightbourne is a Primary Care Physician with advanced training in Lifestyle Medicine, Nutrition, and Health Coaching. He is a proud alumnus of the CC Sweeting Secondary School, the University of the West Indies Mona Campus, and a member of numerous associations including The American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
Dr. Lightbourne is the Founder, President & CEO of the Bahamas Wellness Health System, a rapidly growing group of medical and wellness-related businesses, with its flagship medical center in Palmetto Point Eleuthera, and branches in Lower Bogue and Spanish Wells Eleuthera, Nassau, and a mobile branch called House Call Doctors.
Dr. Lightbourne has dedicated his career to addressing the root causes of disease, helping us live long, healthy, happy lives free of preventable lifestyle illnesses.  He currently serves as a Director on the board of the Medical Association of the Bahamas.
